Fusion Environmental Corporation (FEC) offers solvent recovery systems employing steam-regenerable activated carbon. For applications where thermal oxidation is not desirable, such as those containing halogenated compounds (F,Cl, and S), in areas restricting NOx/CO emissions, or where there is a reusable/recoverable solvent, solvent recovery may be the best solution.
Solvent recovery applications utilize regenerable carbon technology but also employ a solvent/water separation process. The design is dependent on the type of solvent and its solubility with water. The benefits of solvent recovery are the following:
· Up to 99+% removal efficiencies are possible
· Puritities of 99.9% can be achieved in some cases
· Avoids the need for expensive acid gas scrubbing technology
· No NOx or CO permits are required.
Typical regenerable carbon applications include:
· Soil Vapor Extraction/Groundwater Remediation
· Lithium Ion Battery Manufacturing
· Dry Cleaning operations
· Printing Operations
· Coating Systems
· Trichloroethylene (TCE) and Perchloroethylene (PCE) recovery
Solvent recovery systems are available in a wide range of flows and configurations to meet your system and footprint requirements. Custom designed units handle flows from 500 cubic feet per minute (CFM) to 1,000,000 CFM. Pre-assembled skid-mounted systems are available for applications up to 20,000 CFM.
FEC also offers preventive maintenance and retrofits of legacy solvent recovery systems from Vara International, AMCEC, Barron Blakeslee, Barnebey Sutcliffe, and VIC.
FEC can assist with new requirements or updates to existing solvent recovery systems from legacy suppliers - Vara International, AMCEC, VIC, Barnebey Sutcliffe, and Barron Blakeslee. Contact us to review your requirements.
